NASA To Host Preview Briefing And Interviews For First Commercial Crew Mission With SpaceX

NASA have targeted the lift off of the return to human spaceflight from American soil on 27 May 2020, with the Crew Dragon Demo Two mission. The first commercial crew mission will launch to the International Space Station aboard a Falcon-9 rocket from NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida.

NASA will brief the media on the historic mission on Friday, 1st May. The event will be telecasted live here. The crew for the historic mission, Robert Behnken and Douglas Hurley, will be remotely present due to the ongoing coronavius pandemic.

No media will be present at the NASA site due to COVID-19. All the briefing and the interviews will be remotely conducted.

There will be a trio of media briefing and press conferences covering all the aspects of the mission. The event consist of the following :

  1. Commercial Crew and International Space Station overview news conference beginning at 11:00 a.m.
  2. Mission Overview news conference at 12:30 p.m.
  3. Crew news conference at 2 p.m.
  4. And a Round-Robin interview with crew members at 3:30 p.m.
NASA's Administrator Jim Bridenstine along with the crew members and NASA officials will also be present at the event.
